  1. Thank you for trying out Icon WDEF. 
  2.  
  3. PURPOSE
  4. I wrote this init back in the days when I had a Mac SE and urgently
  5. needed more real estate on the screen.  I wanted my windows to be as
  6. minimalist as they could be.  I feel that borders should be small,
  7. titlebars should be small, and it would be nice to zap away the whole
  8. window easily when you're not using it.  It should be compatible with
  9. all systems, and be pretty fast at drawing windows. 
  10. Hence, I wrote Icon WDEF.

  12. FEATURES
  13. Icon WDEF installs a new set of WDEF's into your system.  These window
  14. definitions have the qualities described above- they have small title
  15. bars and small borders.  They also have an extra button in the title
  16. bar, next to the close button which "iconifies" the window when you
  17. click on it.  As far as I know, it runs on all Macs.

  19. I tried to make it as fast as possible- it's noticably faster than the
  20. default window running on an SE while file sharing.  On faster macs
  21. there is no real speed difference.

  23. If for some reason you would rather have a specific window be of the
  24. default variety, open that window with the Caps Lock key down.

  26. LICENCES
  27. Icon WDEF is shareware. You may use it for 5 days before sending in
  28. the shareware fee.  After that period has elapsed, you may not use
  29. Icon WDEF without a licence. Redistribution is unlimited, but this
  30. notice must be included in all distributions. Site Licences are $50
  31. US, Single Computer Licences are $5 US, and Student Licences are
  32. available in exchange for a postcard from anywhere.
